Lily Alex was born in 1969, Moscow, Russia.
She started to read when she was four.
She prefers classical romantic literature, modern fantasy tales, and stories about animals.
Lily got married in 1988, and in 1991 she gave birth to a girl.
From 1988 to 1994 Lily was the manager of a pet shop, working in association with the local shelter for homeless animals.
The family moved to the USA in 1994, and in 1998 -- to Canada, Montreal.
In 1999 Lily graduated with an honors degree from the Stratford Career Institute as a Veterinary Assistant.
The family keeps two cats, a hamster, and a rabbit.
Lily Alex is a socialist, pacifist, and Christian.
