Today's Inspirational Thought
There are two important things that I have learned in the last 2-3 months that
have given me a constant peace and comfort amidst what normally would be a
worrisome experience.
#1 Within every bad experience or situation is an equal and opposite good. If
a situation is a little bad, then there's a little good laced within it. If
it's catastrophic, then there's something phenomenal within it. Joseph who
was sold into slavery by his brothers is a prime example of this. He was
falsely accused and spent 11 years in prison. One bad thing after another
happened to him, but due to it all he became
the highest in command in Egypt next to Pharaoh and saved an entire region
of the world from starvation.
Look for the good laced within your trial and embrace it! Also, like Joseph of
old, look for ways that your challenge will bring good not only to yourself
but also to others.
#2 Every seed has a germination period. A seed can be an idea, a solution, a
goal, or a resolution. Everything takes a certain amount of time to sprout,
grow and eventually produce fruit. "To every thing there is a season and a
time to every purpose under heaven" (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Seek the confirmation from the Lord that
your "seed" is a good one - is within His will. Search the Word of God, pray
about it and get a confirming peace and answer that your course is correct. Once you have it, don't let any derogatory statements from other people,
setbacks, delays or detours cause you to lose faith. Keep an eye single to the
objective that the Lord has confirmed to you, and in its appropriate
germination period, that seed will sprout, grow and bear fruit.
Patience and peace is a natural byproduct of thoroughly understanding these
two principles. I stand as a witness before you this day that the Lord
supports His people in their trials, troubles and challenges. He brings
utter peace, tranquility, confidence and hope amidst your most trying
circumstances. When your load seems unbearable, you can give it to Him to carry
- not just for a day but forever. The problem may remain, but you won't feel
the weight of it on your shoulders. Where you normally would be struggling, upset or fearful He
gives a constant peace, comfort and assurance that all is well.
I bear my solemn witness to you that Jesus Christ lives - that He is our
Savior, Our Redeemer, our Hope. As the song, "People Need the Lord" says,
"at the end of broken dreams, He's the open door."
God bless,
